Come To Me For Rest
2019, cool wool, wire and lead, 43cm (H) x 40cm (W) x 40cm (D)
The title comes from Matthew ch11: v28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.'' It is about my faith. I can give all my pain and anxiety to God and He looks after it. His big accepting hug brings rest.

The Invisible Help

Breaking Free
Nets are contradictory; they can trap or set you free. The figure, although caught in the net, is being released.
Found net and PVA glue

Clinging On To Hope
This figure is composed of 2 fundamentally different materials, this small figure presents a study of a intensely balanced weight and counterweight that suggest the struggle between faith and certainty within life's difficulties.

Surrender
This glass figure, moulded from clay, concerns the many positions we hold in our lives. This particular position references humility and surrender. I chose glass because of its vulnerable properties and its transparency. Glass is fragile, beautiful and mortal; it’s easy to break so it doesn’t last forever.
